Great article. The fee waiver zone point is a really good one too. I don’t know why a developer would pass that up and I don’t know why a site right across from the gate to the campus would not include undergraduate housing.

By the way, this is better housing, but it’s not necessarily cheaper. In theory, more housing means cheaper housing through competition, but this is all high-end stuff being added to the market. These brand new complexes tend to be some of the most expensive housing in College Park (but of course they are not subject to the city’s rent control law, which is only focused on putting single family home landlords out of business and devaluing their private property).
